The Almond Blossom Century will take place as planned this Saturday. However, for the first time in the near decade long history of this event, we will be experiencing rain. In addition, the recent heavy winds have blown a tree onto the bike bridge over the Stanislaus River damaging it and making it unsafe to use. We are hoping for a light rain and have mapped out an alternative much shorter course should you wish to brave the elements.
The course for Saturday will be 22 miles long. If it indeed rains, we thought that would be the most riders would want to be in it and still get a decent workout.
